Yes, you have people in countries, for abortion, for homosexual partnerships, for contraception etc… Yes? And then you have them for immigration, and worried about “Over population”.
I’m not going to run into the four stages of a country, but basically, there will be a boom in the next fifty to a hundred years, of about three billion, maybe four. But it will start to decline for a period, due to the levelling off of birth and death rates.
Here’s an example: Holland.
Holland is for euthinasia, homosexual partnerships, abortion and contraception. All of this, has literally reduced the Dutch birthrate to a decline, they desperately need immigrants. But immigrants are causing social problems, due to their refusal to integrate. The Dutch mostly dislike immigration. I know a fair few Dutch, I’ve been there, the attitude is “Stop immigration.” yet, they fail to realise… That would cause a sharp decline in their population, and economy, due to the fact they NEED immigrants to fill jobs.
Put regulations on contraception, ban abortion, ban euthinasia and ban homosexuality (Interesting fact, homosexuality was only decriminalised, in Ireland, in 1995 - Unfortunately, they’ve worked fast in the last ten years), this will increase their native population, and decrease their reliance on immigration.
Then you have the problem, of, overpopulation in developing countries, which is where helping their economies should, theoretically, move them along to the second/last stage in the stages of a country, reducing their birth rate, and death rate. Causing less of a, somewhat complicated, problem.
Edit: You fail to understand the term: “Overpopulation.”
Ireland, with a population of eight million, in 1845, was overpopulated - Our resources were insufficient to support our population.
Holland, less than half the size of Ireland, has a, present population of 16,000,000, approximately four times that of Ireland. Yet, it is not over populated.
