Hi everyone,
I am 18 years old, a senior in Catholic HS, I have been Catholic all my life and have grown up in the faith. I consider myself pretty devout. I love God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, The Sacraments, the Church, Mary, all that good stuff with a very open heart ready to love even more! I attend a religion class with a teacher, and I listen to and read a lot of things from Traditional Catholics who do not agree with some of the changes after Vatican II. I agree with them for the most part, I do think that Mass should be the most sanctified, respectful place, and a lot of times in today’s Church it isn’t. It’s just, I have been taught a certian way and I grew up practicing my faith a certian way, and now I’m discovering the Traditional beliefs, and I kind of feel like maybe my education was wrong? I also know that the Holy Father and the Magesterium are guided by the Holy Spirit and anything they come out with about the faith is legit. I know a lot of the things are from individual dioceses, not from the Vatican. I’m just confused. I tend to be scrupulus, and if I hear one person saying that things should be done this way but it’s acceptable to do it the other way too, I feel like I’m not being reverent or even sinning if I don’t do that. I feel overwhelmed. It confuses me, I don’t know what to do.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Jeanne
