Have a word of God themselves? I mean if the Pope said “hey God told me go kill x amount of people” and went through with it why wouldn’t he take steps to prevent that? Or take steps to not have the crusades happen in his name? This is just my view on it though so, please don’t think I’m trying to convince you or anything.

People unnecessarily died. Not much to be enlightened on. I know the history of it, and not from the religious stand. It was based off greed. Anyone with a non biased view on that will tell you that. Several of my colleagues and I have discussed such a thing and so I’m sorry to say I won’t be viewing this from a biased source.

Biased? How about scholarly?

The Crusades were never about greed. The sacking of Constantinople was, but that was not a Crusade in and of itself; that Crusade got sidetracked.

This is why you need to read some good books and watch Dr. Madden’s video.
