Hi paarsurrey,
It is never too late. The thread is titled “Why is sunday instead of saturday the sabboth”. It can be found in the Non-Catholic Relgions section…you just have to go to page two or beyond dependening on how far it gets pushed back. It is closed but anyone can access it.
I have copied the post below that he is referring to:

"Overly neglectful reading of the text in Genesis chapter 1.
If you read what and how God creates each day in the creation story, He always begins His creation by saying “Let there be”.
On Day One: Genesis 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Notice that He created Light on the 1st day by saying “Let there be light”. And notice that “light” in verse 3 is singular.
On Day Four: Genesis 1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
Notice that He created Lights on the 4th day by saying “Let there be lights”. And notice that “lights” in verse 14 is plural. Verse 16 says that God made two great lights to govern the day and night, and he also made the stars. (the scipture quotes above are from the NIV…but the singular and plural shows up in all the other versions I’ve looked at)
I agree with you as to object and purpose for which those 2 lights were created. But I disagree with you that they “had to have been there before that otherwise, there couldn’t have been any day or night before that, which the Bible says there was” A careful reading of the scriptures proves otherwise.
And that was my question number 1…how do you explain that taking a literal interpretation of 7, 24 hour days in the creation story.
I don’t feel that you have answered my question number 1, but I will not continue to ask you to answer it."
