Yes, I agree all church has such crimes because all churches are made of people, including the Catholic church. So this presumption the the Catholic church if infallible and therefore the final authority on all things Christ does not hold water!Additionally, the Church of Christ is not immune from such crimes
.The Catholic church for centuries has branded Mary Magdalene as a prostitute, yet there is no where in the Bible where it ever says that.
Church polices were put in place that transferred pedophile priests from one parish to another. It would be one thing if this only happened in one state but it happened in over 10 countries; that’s a coordinated effort on the part of the church.
In the 1940s and 1950s young unwed mothers who were sent to convents had their babies taken away and sold without their permission or under corrosion.
Do any of these situation seem in line with what God would want?
Are these the actions that would have God say, “well done my good and faithful servant”?
That just wouldn’t make any sense. It would be an irrational response.. . .“Your Bible interpretation is wrong because Jimmy Swaggert was a Bible Christian and an adulterer.”
And this is why God is so wonderful. He can see past your flaws and still use you to do great works.Don’t leave Jesus because of Judas.
Peter denied Jesus three times and still was the first Vicar of Christ and leader of the Universal Church
I started reading the Bible for myself and found a church where the focus was placed on the Bible and God’s Word and teachings and not on traditions of men that do not have a proper foundation in the Word.medwigel. I have no idea what happened to you and you do not need to discuss any of that here (maybe some Catholic was just rude to you. Who knows?).
When St. Peter gets opposed to his face by St. Paul for kowtowing to some of the Jewish faction does THAT mean he doesn’t officially TEACH correctly and does away with the letters of St. Peter?
Nope, not a heretic, I just don’t believe in doctrine that is not Biblical.I am challenging this doctrine of “concomitance”.
You are a heretic. Got it.
Oh, of course you are.Nope, not a heretic, I just don’t believe in doctrine that is not Biblical.
