Palestinians participate in a mass wedding of hundreds of Palestinians in the town of Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza Strip, Thursday, July 30, 2009.
Over 400 couples were married on Thursday in Beit Lahiya in a ceremony sponsored by Hamas.

Please - these are tiny little girls - please someone verify the story and tell me it’s not real.

Could be flower girls or whatever they have, an article I googled said the brides remained hidden…
I dunno.

yes those were the flower girls.

Shame that there isn’t any threads in this section called: Israelis participate in mass killings

Jesus Christ well prophesied about your people when He said, “A time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.” (John 16:2)

Sure about the “flower girls”, Zaki? What would you say if these babies are in fact the brides? Sure hope this story isn’t true.

Christian Palestinians have been killed and oppressed by the Israelis.

Read BLOOD BROTHERS by Abp. Elias Chacour.

I did some quickee research - apparently those little girls are “proxy brides” - they’re actually relatives of the men pictured who serve as replacements for the brides, who will actually be getting married to the men later on.

Why attempt to divert attention away from the topic at hand?

Read the bigger picture. Do you know Jews and Israelis have been targeted by blatent hate and murder?

yes it is very sad. almost a dozen israelis were killed last december
…and 1300 palestinians were killed and thousands upon thousands were injured but who cares about them-afterall, since the jews had a hard time in the holocaust-they can do whatever they want.
In which way was I diverting the topic at hand? It has been proved to be a misunderstanding on jagasaki’s part.

Since the thread has taken a turn in this direction, I’ll say that Zaki has a good point. I was horrified when we were in Israel and Palestine in November 2007. Christians and Muslims were treated like they were far less than human. Our Christian tour guide was constantly harrassed at the checkpoints that we went through, along with our Muslim driver. It’s very easy to sit in the US and say that Israel is our ally and they’re trying to stop terrorism, but they have created a situation in the West Bank and Gaza where terrorism is bound to flourish. When you treat every single human being in a group like a rodent that needs to be exterminated, you are going to have repercussions (besides the fact that it’s evil!). People are going to rise up and fight back for their very lives. It’s very hard to imagine when we’re safe and comfortable in our first world countries.

On the original thread, I remember seeing a special on CNN about Muslim weddings and the women that were being married didn’t attend them. Thus it would make sense that those little girls weren’t the ones who were being married off (or they wouldn’t be there).

And TristanCross, I don’t think God rejoices when anyone is murdered, regardless of nitpicking a random Bible verse and trying to apply it to a nonrelevent situation.

You’ll find anything that if faults Palestinians (even just the terrorist dunderheads who ruin it for the rest of the Palestinian people) internet Muslims will immediately do that. Then quite often those same Muslims claim the Jews name-drop the Holocaust. :hypno:

If some Muslim apologists had nickel for every time they used a non-sequitor, they’d be buying and selling Bill Gates.

I will start a new thread based on your perception of Israel. 😦

What is wrong with her perception of Israel? My father is palestinian and he wasn’t a terrorist and he was still treated like he was worth nothing. My grandfather was killed by a group of Israeli soldiers for refusing to leave HIS house which they wanted to demolish. He was 70 year olds and was in a wheelchair!!! IN A WHEELCHAIR MAN! And what? You want to instruct me how to think about Israel when my father’s side of the family is either dead, imprisoned or living under suppression just because you heard an Evangelical preacher saying how great Israel was on the tv while you sat back on the couch and ate some popcorn?
