“Socialism” is a very old word that was in use long before Karl Marx. It has since become loaded with connotations, but its meaning nevertheless still depends on how one defines and uses it. The word has been used on this thread by those who have made it clear that they are not using the word as it is defined in Maxism and political philosophy, and it isn’t fair to simply ignore this fact once the usage has been made clear.
