Parents’ ‘Sex Ed Sit Out’ Protesting Forced Gender Ideology in Schools Spreads Across Country

Friend, I don’t recall screaming at anyone in this discussion. Though I have been told to “go home”, told I have harmed children and various other pieces of diatribe. Sex ed is about informing students and, hopefully, helping them avoid disease and unwanted pregnancy. As well as discouraging bullying.

I have some teaching experience. I did not realize how much work I had to put in, but back to my point. Before schools even existed, sex education was passed on - successfully. In 1960, there were only 4 STDs (VD back then) of concern. Today, there are a lot more. Does Sex Ed. help? No, definitely not. Why? Because over the last 40 years, the media has portrayed sex as a no consequences game. And more recently, as just something unmarried people do. Relationships? Why bother? Just be “a dog.” The other person uses the other person like two dogs meeting in an alley. And people are taught by movies and TV - “It’s no big deal.”

It’s not rocket science and I’m sure the makers of the various kinds of contraceptives just want to keep making money.
A global community has also led to more diseases, as has a greater understanding of what is and is not a disease. Sex ed has been shown tube and again to decrease STI transfers and unwanted pregnancy. I’m afraid teens have always engaged in premarital sex.

Those are the facts. Sex education has failed in terms of prevention, especially when young people fall into the trap of “everyone else is doing it so why not me?” Everyone else is not doing it.

So who vets the schoolteachers?
What recourse do the parents have if Schoolteacher is telling the children things that go against morality (or science)?
Who exactly is teaching the schoolteacher?

I remember when lobotomies were still considered standard of care, and when one was taughter never to question somebody who came forward with a repressed/recovered memory. It wasn’t that long ago when all the beautiful people and the intelligentsia embraced eugenics .
So you’ll pardon me if I take a very dim view of teaching children that they aren’t necessarily the sex they were born with (and no, I’m not interested in any sex vs gender theory–and yes, I’ve read extensively on it, even if I’m not a schoolteacher)

And for all we know, there may have been even far more than we have today but for the sex education the average american teenager gets in public school.

Virus and bacteria are tricky things.

It’s a figure of speech. Though in real life it has happened.
Sex ed is about informing students and, hopefully, helping them avoid disease
Too bad that failed to prevent drug-resistant gonorrhoea and the rising cases of STDs in general.
I hate to say it but if sex ed had been more universal it likely would have worked better. As I’ve already explained; places that don’t do sex ed record higher rates of STIs.

I’m on my phone so have trouble cutting up quotes but I can answer your questions.

The education department does, at least in Australia.
They can go to the principal or board of education.
Various universities under the guidelines of the board of education. 😊

If we refuse to teach children anything that may one day be disproven we can teach children literally nothing. Gender education mainly strives to allow children to ask questions; old fashioned gender ideology denies that. It seems safer to encourage questions if everything could be wrong. And teaching children to be accepting of others is good.

I’m afraid I’m on my phone on a bus, so I can’t really read through those at the moment I will try to later. But I have explained how sex education, particularly in the US has shown decreased rates of STI infection. I have also explained how a more global society has an impact on this.

Alright, well set that aside. Any Catholic teaching, then, taught to school-aged children.

At Catholic high schools (at least in my Diocese), it and the NAB are the primary source materials.

Do accept that parents have the right to withdraw children from sex ‘education’?

And not necessarily true considering Denmark and Sweden are more aggressive in sex-‘ed’:

I believe I’ve already explained that I can’t read up on that on my phone , I’m sure there’re more factors to it 😊

I don’t know why you insist on scare quotes around education. I believe that if students are removed from class they still need to be able to prove understanding of the topic, as with anything.

Because people before sex ‘ed’ was a thing didn’t know sex=chance of pregnancy? How did the human race manage before the 1930s? Or rabbits, whales or cats for that matter.

This is beyond scary.

But I think this thread has opened some people’s eyes to what kind of ideology is being crammed down children’s throats.

The number of persons who always from very early childhood believed they were born into the wrong body is vanishingly small.

Unfortunately, because of various reasons there are children who grow up just fine until they hit the adolescent crisis–they feel uncomfortable in their developing bodies, they’re neither children nor adults, they feel phenomenally awkward.
All things that most people grow out of.
They need reassurance that they won’t feel awkward forever.
But now you have people putting the idea into their heads “maybe you’re trans”.
Sadly, some kids take this seriously, go on the internet for some talking points, and proceed to wreck their future.

But hey, we’re all just asking questions , right?
