Our pastor as well, says, “Who for us and our salvation…”. You can literally hear an uncomfortable pause at this point. I say the words, “For us men and for our salvation…” just as written in the missalette. I have no problem whatsoever with anything in our liturgy that has the word “man” in it. Jesus came and became a “man”, yes, He was human, but He became a “man”. ( I have learned, and am still learning, so very much about our rich Catholic faith from Catholic Radio !! Even though I am a cradle Catholic–for all of you who haven’t heard of Catholic Radio–check it out!! Also, make sure you help it with your prayers and financial support!!
