I think some people need to take a closer look at Chris Christie ontheissues.org/Chris_Christie.htm
Yea, she left out that conservatives step on puppy dog tails too. That is not the policy of the GOP or conservatives. That’s just your Strawman. Liberal princess, it’s okay to disagree, but don’t make up lies.

But we do… At least I do… Well, I tripped over my own feet and accidentally stepped on his foot. Never have I seen such a heart-melting look of hurt and betrayal. :crying:Yea, she left out that conservatives step on puppy dog tails too.
I agree with you about Rubio. He needs to be on the ticket if not be the nominee himself. I voted for him. Rand Paul is not like his Dad thankfully.Well, if you look at '80 & 84 - the Republicans nominated a conservative and a moderate and won both times. I think the key is having a conservative heading the ticket, not a token conservative as vice president. I will also add that having a “mere conservative” i.e. one who is solidly conservative on the issues but a boring, uninspiring candidate will not win either. The candidate has to be a good communicator who can rise above the Democrat media spin machine and speak to the American people. I believe there is one out there - Rubio comes to mind. Possibly someone else. I don’t think Santorum ever fit that description.

I would say unfortunately.Rand Paul is not like his Dad thankfully.
Because you think he is a good choice or a bad choice? What stances on which issues are you enthusiastic/concerned with?I think some people need to take a closer look at Chris Christie ontheissues.org/Chris_Christie.htm
Yep!! No one on the GOP list can beat HRC…. that’s why they are scrambling now, 3 years early. I kind of want Ted Cruz to run just for the fun of it… His running would really energize the Dem base. Kind of like the Palin pick….Rubio? There is no way he will get past the tea party after his proposals on immigration reform.
Not that it matters. HRC will be president.![]()
Amazing, that as a Catholic, this is your thinking.I don’t know your age,but I do know LP is in her mid twenties.Sadly, she will be living out this nightmare far longer than I and many others’Yep!! All I know is I am looking forward to the next couple of years in politics!!

No, no, no - I want it to be really easy for HRC, so I am hoping Jindal is the GOP pick!! Will make for some great TV!!!I’m hoping that Cruz or Paul is the GOP pick. Then it will be an easy win for Hillary in 2016.
I’d be more concerned about the Democratic Party primaries, if you are an HRC fan. She will be trashed and probably won’t be the nominee. Therefore, it won’t matter who the GOP pick is.No, no, no - I want it to be really easy for HRC, so I am hoping Jindal is the GOP pick!! Will make for some great TV!!!

Food stamp cuts coming, brought to you by the GOP House:Yea, she left out that conservatives step on puppy dog tails too.
Still waiting for Liberal Princess to back up her claim that conservatives oppose safety nets for the poor. She might as well say liberals cut food stamps for the poor, because they could have voted for bigger increases.![]()
? What worked for the GOP in '80 and '84 isn’t working today. That seems to be the primary problem. Going with an even more conservative candidate in '16 seems like madness to me. Those voters who favor political polarization are fewer and further between than 35 years ago.Well, if you look at '80 & 84 - the Republicans nominated a conservative and a moderate and won both times. The GOP’s problem is that, at least perception-wise, they have some very conservative members who are totally unacceptable to a majority of Americans, and have some more “moderate” members who look like they don’t have any principles to most Americans. So they are really stuck with looking stupid or looking like politicians. Not a good combo.? What worked for the GOP in '80 and '84 isn’t working today. That seems to be the primary problem. Do you think McCain and Romney were too conservative??? What worked for the GOP in '80 and '84 isn’t working today. That seems to be the primary problem. I think the reason Bush was elected twice is because he was genuine. He may not have been as conservative as many would like, but you knew where he stood. The GOP’s problem is that, at least perception-wise, they have some very conservative members who are totally unacceptable to a majority of Americans, and have some more “moderate” members who look like they don’t have any principles to most Americans. Exactly.I think the reason Bush was elected twice is because he was genuine. He may not have been as conservative as many would like, but you knew where he stood.
McCain had a series of missteps that spelled disaster for him (cough Palin cough). Romney? Yes. Immigration, same-sex marriage, his less than compassionate view of those who receive some form of public assistance – these are issues of political suicide. But let’s say he wasn’t “really” conservative. The majority of Americans still didn’t agree with his platform on these sample issues. How, then, would a candidate with even *more *conservative views win?Do you think McCain and Romney were too conservative??![]()
