Cardinal George Pell has told a Sydney parish priest to disallow the Australian Reforming Catholics group from using a church hall in Rose Bay to hold the group’s annual general meeting.

The leadership of the CC has been under fire everytime they stand up for the Truth and to protect the Church from the wolves. go Cardinal. you have my support. it is time to stand up and regain the Church back to the teachings of Christ.

do away with liberals whose only thing in mind is to destroy the Church. they dont know what they are doing, therefore they are very dangerous to the faithfull.

I support Cardinal Pell in his decision. There are too many people who want to rewrite the rules. A former priest wants to use church property to spill his bile; say no!

More power to the Cardinal!
As a faithful successor of the Apostles, he knows his job.

That group: “Australian Reforming Catholics” is nothing but a pack of dissidents with ties to various fellow travellers, including one which proudly claims Fr. H Kung as its patron!

He wouldnt have had any need to "meet with these people...... to see what they are about". Hes already had dealings with them. A list of members names is a bit of a "Whos Who" of dissidents and apostates in this part of the world.

“Reforming”?
Deforming!

Looking through some of the comments in that story makes me sad. People have no idea how the church works, and instead of learning about how it does they just assume it operates the exact same as a secular liberal democracy.

The Church is lead by the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, along with the Bishops in communion with him. Faith and Truth are not up for a vote, because Truth is the truth from age to age and cannot be changed. It doesn’t matter if secular society or even others calling themselves Christian “churches” choose to ignore the Truth and substitute their own perverse watered down version of the “truth”, or even if they go as far as denying it.

One person complained about not being able to use a hall the laity raised money for. Maybe they forgot that the Diocese is the owner of all Church property and the Bishop heads the diocese. As a second point, isn’t that like me going “my high school donated money to build a school in Africa, therefore we should all go over there and be able to use it”? Of course not, we freely donated our money so that the children in Africa could have a school.

They’re just wasting their time. The Church will never change or water down the Truth. People have this me-centered complex where they think everything should conform to them and their views. The Church only conforms to 1 view: God’s, and no mortal man can ever change that.
