Gee, its insulting? Stand up to defend our country’s tragic sadness and you get to hear all the blah, blah, blah, from the same old tag team of blahers! Some say “I don’t care”, some say they have no need to visit the 911 Memorial site, they know all they need to know from living in Europe. Go figure … (of course the most vocal is not American so there you have it.)

Nobody, nobody, has said they don’t care about the September 11 incident (or attack, if you prefer). Not me, not the person to whom you refer who isn’t an American. Not one person.

What I said was that I didn’t care that Nancy Pelosi called it an “incident.” And I still don’t.

As to said non-American needing to visit the site, no. Do you need to visit the Normandy beaches to care about that horrific day? Do you need to visit Auschwitz to care about the Holocaust? Do you need to visit Dublin to care about those innocent people who died on Bloody Sunday? No? Then that Irishman doesn’t need to visit downtown NYC.

As for me, I can see the new Freedom Tower out my apartment window. I see it every minute of every day when I’m home. I’m well aware of it. As I said before, I was actually in the WTC for the '93 bombing (whether you believe that or not – and your belief or lack thereof is something I really don’t care about), so I think I’ve had enough experience to care.

Please, stop your speech policing. It’s almost as if you’re a student at Berkeley.

IMO your posts were numerous on the subject and certainly not anything to directly address. If you do not think there are tag teams posting in support of one another then that is your opinion. I do not care if you visit memorial sites nor what you learn from history. Thanks for being courteous in return.

Commenting on American affairs should be done respectfully and not insulting otherwise it may appear to be meddling, etc. Actually its a good idea to avoid responding to your posts.
Thanks

Complaining about Pelosi’s using the word “incident” is not standing up to defend our country. It is being nit-picking. Big difference.
9/11 was a “wartime attack on the United States”.
. . .
Definitely not an “incident”.
So you keep saying. But it was an incident. So was Perl Harbor, Hiroshima, and other one-day events. There are hundreds of ways it could be referenced correctly. This is just one of them.

Based on her comments, Pelosi has now been endorsed for re-election … by Trump.

Personal life altering tragedies have also been referred to by such labels as “the incident” too. Perhaps there appear other circles of people for which “incident” Carrie’s some negative connotation. I cant say that I’ve personally have met any face-to-face though.
