People born with malformations

I think the person who posted in probably not a troll, but a young person who is just “wondering why.” Also, the Internet thrives on posting pictures of extreme malformations and disabilities. I do not go to them as they are cruel and sensationalist. Instead pray for them.

As a person having such a birth defect, I find it part of my Evangelization the need to help people with similar problems understand that they are valued and part of God’s plan. I don’t always succeed, but often, preventing one from losing Faith, in spite of those who would marginalize us, is plenty of reward.

I look forward to my glorified body, perhaps without the defect, but being in His presence sure pales everything else by comparison.

Blessings,
Stephie

These are medical conditions, physically speaking. Spiritually speaking, they are crosses.

Like all human beings, and we all have crosses, God can sanctify any situation, any medical condition we have.

Many of the physically deformatives you have listed can be fixed surgically. Plastic and cosmetic surgery is highly advanced.

That being said, in 3rd world countries, those born with these medical conditions (and these are pretty rare given birth rates), may not have access to the medical technology.

And as other have pointed out, they are not “those people”. In 3rd world countries, they may indeed be ostracized, but that is not God’s will. It’s the culture in which they live, which tend to have lower education rates, or are more supersticious.

And yes, even genital deformaties can be fixed and would be fixed while the person is still fairly young. (Not sure if one has to be done physically growing or not)

They can go on and lead normal happy lives.

allow me to weigh in, as a person with a disability. I don’t have any malformations per say, but the social aspect is difficult precisely because of views like these. when people wonder what our purpose is and why we’re even here, as if the world was only made for healthy people that have nothing wrong with them.

well, I have some bad news, everyone has something wrong with them, especially sin, everyone gets sick, everyone has some slight defect, one way or another.

the key is understanding, we’re here to make you uncomfortable, less complacent in your lives. how easy is it just to ignore the disabled, or simply look away. not make the effort to be their friend, pretend you dn’t see them, this happens to me, all the time. it’s just eaiser for people to not deal with me because they afraid of being uncomfortable.

but there are a few, who go out of their way, and those are the saints who will be in heaven.

No perhaps about it. The “spiritual body” (pneumatikon soma) is set free from any damage that entropy did to the original human body, either during life, or at its beginning. And then some. (Sown in weakness, raised in power, etc.)

But the greatest joy our bodies will give us is to use them to hug and be hugged by our LORD (you need a body for that!) and breathe with HIM!!!

God Bless and ICXC NIKA!
