**PepsiCo gives $1,000,000 to help promote the gay agenda**
**Company forces employees to attend sexual orientation classes**
                                                January 8, 2009

PepsiCo has refused a request by AFA to remain neutral in the culture war. The company indicated that it will continue major financial support of homosexual organizations. AFA wrote Pepsi two times (on October 14 and October 29) requesting a meeting to discuss Pepsi’s neutrality in the culture war.
On November 17, AFA received a condescending letter (dated Nov. 7) from Paul Boykas, director, public policy, in which he refused to address Pepsi’s support of the homosexual agenda.
In the last two years, Pepsi has given $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and $500,000 to the Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). The $1,000,000 was to be used to help promote homosexuality in the workplace. Pepsi refuses to give money to any pro-family organization that opposes the homosexual agenda. Plus, every homosexual organization we know of is overwhelmingly pro-abortion.
Both HRC and PFLAG supported efforts in California to defeat Proposition 8 which defined marriage as being between a man and a woman. HRC, the homosexual group financially supported by Pepsi, gave $2.3 million to defeat Prop 8.
Pepsi forces all employees to attend sexual orientation and gender identity diversity training where they are taught to accept homosexuality. **
Take Action!Sign the Boycott Pepsi Pledge. After signing the pledge, please call Pepsi (914-253-2000 or 1-800-433-2652) and tell the company you will boycott their products until they stop promoting the homosexual agenda.
Call the Pepsi bottler
nearest you and ask the bottler to ask Pepsi to stop supporting the homosexual agenda.**
• Pepsi’s products include Pepsi soft drinks, Frito-Lay chips (800-352-4477), Quaker Oats (800-367-6287), Tropicana (800-237-7799) and Gatorade (800-367-6287).
**Print out the Boycott Pepsi Pledge **and distribute.
• **Forward this e-mail to your friends and family **so they will know about Pepsi’s support of the homosexual agenda. Millions of people are not aware of Pepsi’s support of homosexual organizations.

Not a Pepsi drinker, so this doesn’t affect me.

Besides, a lot of companies need to introduce more sensitivity training in their employees. I’m sick of dealing with co-workers who just don’t GET my various quirks.

1- Show me a link that what you posted is legit. When I google it, all I can find are other forums with the info. This is probably just one more of those stupid internet things that gets sent around the world.

2- Every single post you have is anti-gay. Why are you such a hater of gay people? Why is that your only agenda? They do absolutely nothing to harm you. Let them live their lives in peace, you have no right to make them miserable.

3- Online petitions do absolutely nothing so your effort (if sitting behind a keyboard can be called an effort) is worthless. snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.asp

Here we go again…

The last one of these to go around was requesting us to boycott Campbells Soup.

I’m sorry I am not going to boycott Pepsi. They are the only Soda Company that makes a Caffine Free Diet Drink that I like. (can’t do Caffine because of my heart condition).

As the above poster requested…get facts before starting these things.

Alix1912…where have you been?

It’s a mad…mad…world and the “gays” are out get us.

 oh brother:rolleyes:

I have been on these boards since 06. My initiation into “boycott or else” threads was about Starbucks. Didn’t budge then, not budging now. Then came the Susan G. Komen Cancer charity…yep, they supported something “gay”…maybe it was the PINK ribbons…I don’t know:shrug:

People were scared to death to sip a latte or “run for the cure” because some “people” on a forum told them they were going to hell in a handbasket if they didn’t.

Later it was Ford…I drive a Ford, my DH drives a Ford, my DSon drives a Ford…AND…if I buy another car again…yes, it will be a FORD 😃

Then it was a boycott on visiting San Francisco.

Oh and there were a few threads about “effeminate” priests. Of course some were :onpatrol: or obsessed with finding out “is he or isn’t he”

There are 4 sets of gay couples living in my neighborhood. I have yet to see any of them dressed as Liza Minelli or parading down the street in a pink tu-tu.

What I do see…are tax paying citizens, who have a mortgage to pay, and mind their own business.

In every facet of humanity you will have the “lunatic fringe”…even right here on CAF…go figure.

The AFA was boycotting McDonalds and Ford for a long time, now I think it’s GM… who knows. I thought Donald Wildman was a detriment to bringing people to Christ even when I was a Protestant. I have even less respect for his ridicules agenda now.

I signed up for their news letter a few years ago just to see what they sent. Almost all of it is about boycotting someone for promoting the “gay” agenda. The few others are about oppressing someone else. While I wouldn’t go so far as to say they promote hate, they definitely promote the idea that you should push away anyone that doesn’t think / believe exactly like they do…

And you know what? For the majority of their members we are “going to hell in a handbasket” as Catholics. The fundamentalist mindset of “I’m right and everyone else is wrong” has no place in America and truly I don’t see much of it in the Gospels either!

The first one I read about was Susan G. Komen…however it was not about a gay agenda but about them giving a huge amount of money to Planned Parenthood. I did my own research (wrote to Susan G. Komen myself), they told me that yes they do give Planned Parenthood money. I decided not to support Susan G. Komen and give my money elsewhere. However, I don’t think that it makes any difference to anyone at Susan G. Komen…just makes me feel better 👍

Darn I like coke…foiled again. 😛 I also liked CCs and like Toyota cars… when oh when can I support the Gay agenda. Its just not fair. hehehehehe

Ok, so I found on PepsiCo’s website…it’s not $1,000,000, but if you DO boycott places for these reasons…here’s some info from them:

pepsico.com/Purpose/PepsiCo-Foundation/Foundation-Giving-2007.aspx

That link opens up all the Foundation Giving that PepsiCo did for 2007, I had to open the section called ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ and it’s listed under PFLAG. I did some research to see if some other group uses those initials, but it doesn’t seem that way.

Just FYI…

This thread shows a lot of levity toward the actual promotion of Christ’s rule on earth. 😦

Whenever we pray, at mass, ‘thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’ we can think of these little inconveniences which (though not required by our faith) show a deep seated care to make certain our actions conform to our love of God. I am sad to see so many otherwise good Catholics dismiss as silly the idea of boycotting a company that uses the proceeds of our patronage to promote sin. If indeed these details are correct, and the allegations that Pepsi promotes homosexual acts as morally permissible are true, then we as Catholics *should *think seriously about voting with our dollars and buying something different.

Just because the tide is going against us, does not mean we should not fight to swim back to shore.

Hope you don’t like Campbell’s soup then, or Pizza Hut.

This sort of silliness always makes me laugh. Why don’t the staunchly homophobic just adopt an Amish way of life, raise your own food from the soil you own, and be entirely insular? Because that is pretty much the only way you’ll avoid the horrors of ‘promoting teh gay’.

And you’ll still have to disown/punish a percentage of your children and community. Depressing and ridiculous, just the way I like my humor.

If it is true and you decide to boycott Pepsi, then you should know that they also own Quaker Oats, Gatorade, Frito Lay, SoBe, Tropicana, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken, etc. They also have partnerships with Starbucks, Ben and Jerrys, Lipton Ice Tea, etc. So do me a favor and one, research Pepsi’s agenda and two find out all the companies they own and boycott them all so that you are consistent.

2 - not every single post - but to answer your question, I love everyone, but I hate sin and evil, and I do not apologize for it.

If you want to live privately then do so. Don’t bring it to the public square. If it’s in the public square then I will fight it and criticize it.
  1. Online petitions do work. In any case, I vote, boycott and I petition. If they don’t work then why should you worry about it or even post links to try to prove it.

You know, in my original post I almost said for you to keep doing your online petitions because since they are worthless it’s not bothering anyone but I didn’t. I wish I would have left it in.

In several posts an unwarranted allegation has been given that disapproving of homosexual acts, or those institutions that support these acts, is “homophobia.” On the surface, such an allegation is unwarranted - the Church teaches that all Catholics should be opposed to homosexual actions and at the same time calls us each to be loving and respectful toward homosexuals. Boycotting a company that promotes homosexual acts is entirely in conformity to Church teaching on these issues.

For those who have made an allegation that a boycott amounts to homophobia, would you care to defend yourselves and explain what you mean?

I intend too. It makes me feel better. 🙂

Why? Are you going to stop using your computer too, since, y’know, Alan Turing was gay?

Crimony.

See you in your horse-drawn buggy. Briefly.

If I find out that part of his agenda was causing the computer to send out radiation specifically causing us to check our sense of evil at the door, and to buy into the agenda. 😉
