Dude, you are thinking of things on an entirely physical level. God the Father, to my knowledge, is metaphysical.
So why are you making Him physical? You are trying to explain something that makes no sense at all. Stop and look at what you are saying.

Emad:
So if He goes to the bathroom, that must mean He eats, what happens, if He eats that means He NEEDS food and depends on it for His survival. How can you say that He doesn’t need His creation, but eats, thus needing food?
Does anyone recall Jesus’s 40 day fast in the desert? When Satan tempted him by saying “Can you not turn these stones into loaves of bread?” Jesus said “One should not feed on bread alone, but on every Word that comes on his mouth.”

Tantum ergo:
God is all perfect and all powerful. He does not “need” anything the way that we humans or other creatures “need” things such as food, sleep, etc. But since God created us, He obviously loves us and wants us to be with Him. He gives us the choice. It’s ours to make.
Do you believe He eats and sleeps?

God in the person of Jesus Christ existed on earth for 33 years out of recorded time. In that recorded time, the human Jesus “needed” everything that humans need; the God Jesus “needed” NOTHING. While Jesus walked on earth He was subject to the laws of earth.

I’ve said it before: Hypostatic union.

We are not talking of two equivalent things. A horse/tiger combination are both two physical ANIMALS.

A God/man is the union of PURE SPIRIT with a BODY/SOUL. Two different and distinct natures in ONE God.

The PURE SPIRIT “adds on” the perfect BODY/SOUL and becomes ONE being with TWO natures, Divine and Human. Not two gods and not two humans.

So how can He be physical and metaphysical at the same time?
He felt like it. He can do that, you know. He’s God. 👍

If he wanted, he could turn black into white, up into down, man into woman, and blink everything out of existence…and then right back into existence, purely cuz he feels like it!

How can He be metaphysical and physical at the same time?

Why on earth NOT? He is GOD. You are attempting to limit Him into human limits and ignoring the fact that He is God–and therefore capable of doing ANYTHING, INCLUDING making Himself God-man. Just because you cannot conceive of such a thing does not make it impossible for God.

So can He make Himself into food and be digested? How can something be completely black and completely white? Is it possible?

He does that every time a priest says the mass. I myself recieved the body and blood of Christ this morning. 👍

You are just restating my question. How can He need and not need at the same time? If He needs that means He depends on it, do you believe God is independent or dependent?

And you flush him down the toilet? Also I hope you didn’t chew on him too hard did you?

Sorry for being so graphic, but this seems like the only way I can get my point across.

The prescence of Christ remains only so long as the wine and wafer are recognizable as such. Er…by the time i flush the toilet, he is no longer food to be digested.
 Also I hope you didn’t chew on him too hard did you?
Jesus said it is alright to Chew! That is implied in “eating.”

You got it. God is my only food. 😃 It’s all related to the Passover Sacrifice where the Jews used to have to slaughter a lamb and put its blood over their house and then consume it so their male children wouldn’t be sacrificed. Jesus = the Lamb of God. 🙂 Have you noticed how Jews don’t do sacrifices anymore? This is because Jesus predicted that the Temple would be destroyed. 😉

Ok I mean can He become physical food, be chewed, swallowed, digested and flushed down the toilet? Now since you know that is not befitting of God you are trying to make it into something not physical.

I didn’t make it something physical or non physical. God himself did. God told us to eat his flesh and drink his blood. Therefore, i eat his flesh and drink his blood.

No, I don’t. That’s not part of the Catholic belief and never has been.
"Christ remains** present under the appearance of bread and wine no longer than the material appearances remain; once they cease because of digestion**, or from any other cause, the presence of Christ ceases also."

No I am not restating your question.

God is God and He can do anything that He wishes, including making Himself both God and Man. You don’t understand that; well you aren’t God (neither am I, this is not a putdown).

Just because you can’t understand it does not mean God cannot do it.

As I’ve said, you just can’t get any plainer than, “God is all powerful. God can do anything”.

According to Catholic teaching, God not only could but DID become God-man. You can say that you don’t believe it. . .but you cannot say that He could not DO it.

Anything is a big word, do you believe he can be food, digested and you know what happens after that. Can he? If not, why not?

Why not? Why are you limiting God now? I thought you believe God can do anything?
