Well, if it’s any comfort to you, my dad would never have concelebrated anything! The problem with the Episcopal church is that under their canon law, you don’t necessarily have to believe that Communion is the actual Body and Blood of Jesus. I was certainly taught that by my parents and in the Sunday schools I attended, but the law states that you must believe in the “real presence” - unfortunately, it never defines what they mean by “real presence”. We as Catholics understand that to mean the true Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ, but in the Episcopal world, no-one is held to that meaning. So, you can attend one Episcopal church that believes it is truly substantiated, and attend another one that believes it is simply a memorial or symbol. One of the many reasons I left and became Catholic. My parents, by the way, are now Antiochian Orthodox (couldn’t talk 'em into Catholicism!). 😦

Ever notice that Protestants feel completely at ease coming to the Catholic Church and telling us how to do things?

Apparently, if you are Catholic you don’t have the same rights as other people. Freedom of Religion only applies when you do things their way!Yet the shoe is never on the other foot. Go to the Baptist Church and demand infant baptism. See what response you get!
Go to the Lutheran church and demand that they pray for the souls in purgatory. They think they have the right to demand that we follow their theology but they would immeditely dismiss us if we tried to do the same. The sheer Arrogance! :banghead:
YES–What good points! I see what you’re saying!!!
