Is God’s revelation not true?John 1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.
Is God’s revelation not true?
Yes, YOUR Christianity and YOUR beliefs are not defined by Catholicism. Other than that, we don’t really know what your beliefs are other than you are obviously not a fan of Peter, the Apostolic teaching, or the Church Jesus founded. So what can you tell us about your special version of Christianity??**
My Christianity is not defined by your religion, but is determined by faith in my saviour, the Lord Jesus.
You could respect me by not naming me a n-c Christian. **
**:tsktsk:
Ok folks, let’s get back on topic here.
Now, are there any anti-Peterists here that can respond to the numerous examples of Peter’s leadership being instituted in scripture?
**All I can share with you is that I love Jesus.Yes, YOUR Christianity and YOUR beliefs are not defined by Catholicism. **Is this an expression of the state of Isiah’s mind or is this a revelation of God? **Is God’s revelation not true?
THE TRUTHFULNESS OF HIS REVELATION TO JOHN IS NOT IN QUESTION HERE.
THE QUESTION(S) I POSED TO YOU (WHICH ARE TOPIC RELATED) ARE IN REFERENCE TO ISAIAH’S STATE OF MIND WHEN HE CALLED THE LORD THE ROCK.
YOU SEEM TO CLAIM THAT ISAIAH MEANT “JESUS” WHEN HE STATED THAT THE LORD IS THE ROCK KNOWINGLY.
YOU SEEM FOND OF QUOTING SCRIPTURE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, CAN YOU QUOTE SOME TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS I POSED TO YOU PROVING THAT ISAIAH CALLED JESUS CHRIST SPECIFICALLY “LORD”?
AND IF ROCK AUTOMATICALLY MEANS LORD,
THEN DID JESUS CALL SIMON “LORD” WHEN HE CHANGED HIS NAME TO ROCK?
oh, one more thing and to sort of get back on topic… Who do you think compiled and kept safe for centuries the scriptures you are quoting from? If you believe in the Trinity – which is no guarantee anymore in protestantism – who do you think clarified and defended that belief? Do you believe in the two natures of Christ i.e. fully God and fulle man? There are so many more, so please give the Catholic Church some credit for defining some of your beliefs.Yes, YOUR Christianity and YOUR beliefs are not defined by Catholicism. I never said that your religion is defined by anything…again, you misrepresent me.**

Who was Jesus addressing in the following passage?
Matthew 18:18 “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
**
**Jesus was talking to his disciples.I never said that your religion is defined by anything…again, you misrepresent me.
“N-C Christian” is a non pejorative that stands for “non-Catholic Christian”…you have nothing to take offense at.

17] If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
[18] Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
[19] Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
[20] For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

You know it brother. Jesus says if you love me you will follow my commandments (Jn 14:15). Jesus clearly left us an authoritative body in the Apostles who could speak for Him (Lk 10:16) and shepherd His flock (Jn 21:17). I love Jesus and I trust the Church He founded and would guide into all truth (Jn 16:13).**My Christianity is not defined by your religion, but is determined by faith in my saviour, the Lord Jesus.

**All I can share with you is that I love Jesus.
Do you? **
So, then you do believe that the Catholic Church was guided by the Holy Spirit to canonize and protect the Scriptures; define the doctrine of the Trinity & the two natures of Christ?**1 John 2:26 For his Spirit teaches you about everything
Do you want the credit for the work of the Holy Spirit? **
**John 6:13 When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth. You know it brother. As Jesus said, the Father would send His Helper to guide His Church into all truth (Jn 14:26 & Jn 16:13). Why else would it be called the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim 3:15)?**John 6:13 When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth.
It is the Spirit and not the church, who leads into all the truth. **
**and the Paul goes on to say: The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 1 Tim 4As Jesus said, the Father would send His Helper to guide His Church into all truth (Jn 14:26 & Jn 16:13). **2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. 17 That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.Well undefined we as Catholic’s do not cut/paste or prooftext bits of scripture. Since we are the Church of the Bible. Since we are the Church which you got the bible from…We take it as a whole. Feel free to go here.
drbo.org/ This is what we believe.
It’s quite simple and it is the reason I am no longer a Baptist. By the Grace of God I’ve come to believe in the faith of the early & Apostolic Church. History can be your friend. It can expose you to the faith of those who sat at the feet of the Apostles – most of them martyred – and others mentioned in our Sacred Scriptures. Do not be afraid of it. After all, God created time.**and the Paul goes on to say: The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 1 Tim 4
How can you be certain that you are not following false teachers? **

Are you allways this rude? It was the Catholic Church that cannonized the bible. It was the Catholic Church that through the guidance of the Holy Spirit is the only reason you have that bible today…I take no credit for that.2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. 17 That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.
Did we get the scriptures from God, or do you want the credit?
