Peters Keys to the Kingdom

Some making posts about Peter and the Keys to Heaven use any means to defend their Catholic doctrine. Even asking if the Bible is really the word of God and even denying scripture that refutes that Peter was ever a Pope. The Catholic Bible says the same thing about how a person obtains salvation. Jesus himself said "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel (Good News). He that believes and is baptised will be saved. He that does not believe will be lost. The Bible will interpret itself and not as Catholic proclaim that scriptures are taken out of context. The Kingdon and the Church are one and the same thing. The early disciples including the Apostles went about teaching in the temple and house. They were teaching the Gospel which you might say is the Key that gets you into heaven. Peter will not decide who goes to heaven. Jesus said that the words that he had spoken will judge you at the end of time. The term Bishop in the New Testament is the same as an elder. Paul told Timothy to appoint elders (plural) in every congregation. Elder or Bishop is not a rank or office. It is a term that is used to designate leaders in a congregation.

I will not waste any time on the Bible according to Bruce. I didn’t realize that Paul was the first Protestant. Thanks for explaining that to me. Go toot your horn someplace else with all the other self-proclaimed leaders of your own individual congregations . The only thing you arrogant indivduals have in common is your hate for Catholics, nothing more, nothing less.

You, or should I say all you who believe like you, believe you know the bible better than anyone else on the face of this earth past, present, and future, except maybe the preacher at your Sunday group of individual believers, who must despise us just like you. I mean if you go to a place of worship outside of yourself.

I wish you were around when Jesus walked the earth. I’d have no doubt who you would think Jesus would have passed His authority to and how many times the world would have been told: “It’s Bruce, it’s Bruce”, not ‘humble old Peter’ who knew he was a steward of Christ’s Church.

Ignorance is bliss (but only for the ignorant is it so blissful)…

You should start a 12-step group called Non-Catholics Anonymous. Oh that’s right, there already is one and it’s got somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000+ chapters all with their own individuality.
