Philadelphia grand jury report

Just wanted to get reactions and feedback on the grand jury report issued, and the four men facing criminal charges. I’m deeply saddened that the sex abuse scandal continues, and I pray for the continued healing of the victims.
 
I haven’t read the report but I’ve heard that it is just horrible to read. Someone said it was “written by hell itself.”

It is disheartening. It is embarrassing.

Fr.Z says, re: the Philly scandal: It’s time for more purification.It is time for us all to get tough and bear this Cross in the face of the mysterium iniquitatis.

Some people in his com box are suggesting offering up the embarrassment and humiliation that is bound to occur for the Church.
 
enough is enough. These sons of satan must be found, removed, and handed over to secular authorities to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

As catholics, we must recognize who these monsters serve, why they are found in our priesthood, and exorcise this evil from our ranks.

No more protecting. I don’t who they are and how high they are up the ladder, if someone is found protecting one of the monsters they should be defrocked and also handed over to authorities.

They just need to be happy i am not in charge of their punishment.
