Philadelphia public school teacher worries about 'conservative' parents listening in on virtual classes

He tweeted about his teaching. That was the content of the tweet - his fear that parents would be observing what he is teaching.
As a retired teacher, I struggle with the concept that a teacher should fear that parents might observe what he is teaching.
Two thoughts:
  1. As a teacher, he doesn’t have, nor should he have a say about parents observing what he teaches.
  2. if he is teaching to his state standards, he has nothing to fear. Parents who don’t like the standards should take that to their state Representative.

While I oppose in-person school closings, two benefits have occurred:
  • the homeschooling option will be considered by more parents in the future
  • nutty professors probably can’t get away with the same level of leftist extremism that they’re used to
