Philippines Gets World's Largest Display of Ten Commandments

A 1,650 square foot tablet of the Ten Commandments, the world’s largest, is displayed on a large-building-sized edifice on a hill overlooking the city of Baguio in the Philippines. City officials themselves inaugurated it.

The Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country. If I enjoyed heat and humidity, I’d go there. Unfortunately, my climate tastes run more towards places like Iceland.

Nice to see they have the kind of freedom of speech that we used to have here, though; good for them!

It is the same group that made the the two flags that competed for a title in the Guinness Book of Records last November 2007 in Israel.

Both flags 100 meters-long (328 feet) and 200 meters wide (656 feet), were displayed to mark 50 years of relations between the two countries.

Grace Galindez-Gupana, the leader of the group, is the first in Asia to receive a total of eight (8) awards from Guinness World Records.
