Maybe you can take have folks send you their wrist measurements if they want one that will fit around the wrist.
That would be ideal, but unfortunately the circumference of a rope is determined primarily by the gauge of the cord I am using. I can increase or decrease the circumference by moving the knots closer together or further apart, but once the knots are right up against each other that’s as small as the circumference will get. So the solution would be a smaller gauge cord, but the end result would be smaller knots. It’s kind of a catch-22 in my opinion. But I’m always open to ideas and suggestions! 🙂

Brother Phillip,

Do you have one that would fit well on the wrist like a wristband?

They fit somewhat like a wristband, but not tight up against the wrist. Since the material isn’t very stretchy the ropes have to be worked over the hand and onto the wrist. Once on the wrist there’s not much threat of it falling off as the fit is fairly snug; although not as snug as a wristband. Does that answer your question? I’m still a little fuzzy this morning. I don’t think the coffee has kicked in just yet. 😃

Thanks! I’m thinking of buying some more to give as gifts, and one to wear daily.

I know I’m kind of trudging up an old thread, but I just wanted to mention that our brother, TimothyH, has posted some photos of a Rosary and some prayer rope bracelletes that I made for he and his daughters on the Traditional Catholics forum. If anyone’s interested go check this link:

I saw an older man dressed all in black with a long white beard fingering his Greek prayer rope while waiting for the train. I sat next to him on the platform bench and asked him if it was a Greek prayer rope and he said yes. Then I showed him the 33-knot Russian rope you made for me, Phillip.

He smiled politely.

Ha ha.

Thanks, TrueLight, I needed an uplifting story like that. It brought a smile to my face. 👍

Brother Phillip, I may contact you within the next couple of weeks about one or two more “Rolfe’s Rope Rosaries.”

These two will likely be gifts.

I’m always here whenever my humble services are required. 😃

I realize this thread is somewhat old but I was wondering if there were prayers you said while making them Phillip?

Typically I just pray the Jesus Prayer while I make the prayer ropes. 😃
