The four adult defendants who are part of the “Philadelphia 5,” Christians who have been criminally charged for preaching at a homosexual event last fall, won a court battle today when a judge removed the bail requirement that they stay at least 100 feet away from any homosexual gathering.

“The judge dissolved the bail restriction,” the defendants’ attorney Scott Shields told WND.

Court of Common Pleas Judge Pamela Dembe ruled the bail requirement was an “unusual restriction on a person’s right to speech.”

“We’re gratified with the ruling,” Shields said. “This judge recognized that my clients definitely do have the right to speak freely about any issue they want, especially in the public square.”

This has been getting alot of coverage a local talk radio station in Philladelphia. The evening talk show host had both sides of the story on (I missed both of them).

However, I did catch the Philadelphia Assistant Persecuter … oops Prosecutor on January 17. You should of heard him spitting hairs when the people called in on other incidents (like the blocking of traffic by protestors who said they will do anything to get their point across *) and the police did not do anything except threaten drivers who were blocked and were honking their horns.

It seems if you are a conservative in Philadelphia, you do not have rights and liberals can do anything they want.:banghead:

I am just glad that was my last night in the Philadelphia area (I am since moved to Scanton (At least temporarily until or if my possible career change comes about :whacky: )
