Philly pastor, church flying high with Eagles pride

The church part starts about 1:15 into the video. Apparently he’s having a special Eagles-themed Mass to pray for the team.

I’m an Eagles fan and I still don’t like the notion of “theme Masses.”

The guy doing this was formerly assigned to one of my neighborhood churches before he moved to this church to be pastor. I will say that he is definitely getting a huge amount of traffic to his church Facebook page with the “advert” for this Mass. I shared it on Facebook (it has the Rocky theme playing in the background) and the next day got an invite from the church to “like” their page. That’s some good evangelization that I’d normally expect to see coming only from Protestants around here.
