This photo was taken 25 years ago this month, at a Valentine’s Dance sponsored by the Wright State chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ. That’s me with my friend Becky. On this evening, we danced to White Heart’s “Unchain”. She was the first lady I ever asked to dance. Unfortunately, as far as I know, no photos exist of our actual dance; this was a posed shot taken at the end of the night.

The temptation is often great to leave our mark in wet cement, maybe our name or some other message that will last for years and decades to come. I see this message hearkening back to the first Christians etched in the sidewalk when I go on my morning walk.
