Running around with a long lens makes it hard to get good panoramic shots so you get this instead.

Greetings from Los Angeles International Airport. These photos were taken after a 15 minute walk from where I live 😬. St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers, is kept awfully busy around here!

We encountered this herd of elk while on a bike ride last month. I tried to convince my wife to keep riding down the path so I could get her picture. She didn’t go for it. There were 18 in total.

When the Franciscans excavated the site of the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, they found various graffiti dating back to the pre-Byzantine period. The most significant of which, found scratched on the base of a column, the Greek characters “XE MAPIA” (read: Ch(air)e Maria). Translated as: “Hail Mary,” the words with which the angel Gabriel greeted the Virgin. It is the oldest Marian invocation known until now. Nearby, they found another Greek inscription: “in the holy place of M(ary), I wrote." Another one in Armenian reads “beautiful girl.” (reference to Mary)
