I have my grandparents’ marriage certificate in the drawer , @Irishmom2,
They were married in 1912 , the year the Titanic went down .
My grandmother used to tell me that they went to Liverpool to see the Titanic as it was heading for its maiden voyage .
It was a Liverpool registered ship but was never in Liverpool , so I don’t know which ship they thought was the Titanic . It was probably an Isle of Man ferry boat - - - - - - - (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

That reminds me of a grave marker I saw in the priests’ section at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach. All of the other priests there are identified except this one. Whoever he was, he was young, only 31.
