I need a new bible with the deutrocanon,
At my local Cath book shop I have the choice of:
The Septuagint(I’d like a copy of this old testament)
The Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (1965).
The Jerusalem Bible (1966).
The New American Bible (1970-1983).
The New Jerusalem Bible (1985).
Good News Bible: Catholic Edition… actually I have a copy of this already only it’s quite battered up and used. I got it for a Buck at a second hand shop.
KJV Penguin Classics Edition(in the “new” and Protestant bibles section).
Which is a good one to get, bear in mind I like the KJV most. But I really want to get a very Catholic old testament. I’m leaning towards getting the Septuagint at the moment.
