Pics - 22,000 Youth in Eucharistic Procession through Kansas City at NCYC

Cardinal DiNardo gave the keynote at today’s session of the National Catholic Youth Conference in Kansas City, while Kansas City, Kansas Archbishop Joseph Naumann led Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction at Sprint Center. Kansas City – St. Joseph Bishop Robert W. Finn then led 22,000 High School students through his See City from Sprint Center to the Kansas City Convention Center.

I wish over here in Scotland the same thing could happen here, Eucharistic procession, how wonderful.
On a related matter, a friend of mine has a job as supervisor to the sisters and nurses overseeing the births of children in a maternity hospital near Glasgow, just recently the nursing and midwifery were told that they would have to perform surgical abortions or face the prospect of losing their jobs.
After a long battle, with the help of a pro-life lawyer, the ‘conscience clause’(which the management had tried to remove)finally was allowed to say in place, but the catholic nursing staff fear this will only be a short term reprieve.

This is a beautiful thing to see. Especially since even adults no longer make much effort to participate in Eucharistic Processions, such as the Feast of Corpus Christie.
