Hi, CAF members!
I thought it would be nice to post pictures of your pets.

(My threads always fail, so this will probably fail as well.)

Cute or not, this is the only pet I’ve got.
I’ve had this desert tortoise for 48 years, since my dad acquired it for me from a coworker.
Many dogs and cats have come and gone, but this old tortoise lives on and on.

Wow! That is so cool. I could Google this, but I was wondering if you knew the lifespan of a tortoise.

Captive Gopher tortoises can live for over 90 years! I don’t know how old it was when I got it. It hasn’t grown all that much. It hibernates every winter, and comes out to eat when it gets warm.

My cat Pepper.
She is 50% Siamese and 50% Himalayan (which is 50% Siamese and 50% Persian).

Your tortoise is amazing. On the one hand, I"d love to have a pet that stayed with me a long time, like a tort or a parrot. On the other hand, I’m always afraid of what would happen to them if they outlived me. The only silver lining to my pets passing away is that I know they’re now in a safe place forever, I no longer have to worry about what would happen to them if I were not here to care for them.

As for my pets, I have too many to post, and some are rather camera-shy, but here’s a close-up of my old man Oliver.

Both are Pomeranians

Here is Cruiser and Maya. They both passed a few years ago and we miss them terribly. But they were wonderful buddies of mine.

It is tough losing a pet. We just lost Waylon a few weeks ago. We are still grieving. We have another fur-child, Willie, who are are spoiling even more than we used to.

We have three rugrat grandkids that we are spoiling these days. We may get another pet or two, but haven’t decided yet.

Does she(?) drink out of the sink? My cat Baron will only drink out of a china bowl in the kitchen sink, or from water in the bottom of the bath. Sometimes from a very slow running faucet in the bath. Must be fresh right before drinking too.

He is a rescue cat and was half feral when I got him at 3 months old.

She likes the water in the sink turned on so that just a slow trickle is falling into the sink and then she drinks from it like a water fountain.

She is also sneaky about helping herself to my ice tea or lemonade at times.

Her love of lemonade really surprised me, because I make mine really sour.

😂 don’t think her head would fit any further in your glass 😄

That’s how Baron will sometimes drink from the faucet too. 👍
