They are so smart indeed. I remember seeing a segment on one kept by scientists (I think) to test speech and memory and intelligence of these birds. I found it very interesting and of course wanted one, but have never owned one. I’d think it’d be like having a perpetual toddler!

Christmas time at our house a few years ago. My wife liked to temporarily put hats etc on them. Our dogs were good sports, although I don’t think they liked doing it as much as my wife did.

Lol! We had a loving and hilarious beagle with a prominent backside twist, so we named her Sophia Loren, but called her Sophie. More than a dozen dogs have now been named Sophie because their owners were smitten with our Sophie, even though she died back in 1978. ❤️

That is one cozy and pampered kitty tucked inside that blanket on those cushions. A very fortunate animal.

must be a black cat … … all I can see are two georgous golden eyes staring back at me!

ya know, if you cropped the top of that picture so the light showing above the armrest was removed, all you’d have is a black picture with two eyes …

So I’m not the only one who has trouble snapping a shot of a black cat 😸
 
Nope! If you’re like me and when you get up through the night, and don’t turn a light on, … likely to trip over kitty as can’t see them in the dark! I had the same problem with seeing both my black dog and red tiger brindle dog in the dark at night too.
 
He’s a gorgeous black kitty. I’ve had a couple of those. They were very friendly and affectionate.
