Pohl has filed a new suit, charging that the Department of Health and Human Services is showing a “shocking disregard for their obligations as government officials to comply with the law” that grants public access to government records.

…“Plaintiff cannot wait three years or longer for a response to his requests and has made every reasonable effort to assist the government in responding to appropriate requests,” the lawsuit said. “Yet the government has not been cooperative. In fact, it has been patently uncooperative.”

I thought the govt had an obligation to produce this information at “nominal” fees. 1.8 mil doesn’t sound nominal. It sounds like pay-dearly,-if-you-want-to-play.
 
Indeed! Sue the Government at every opportunity over this Mandate.
 
Uhh… five years and $1,800,000,000 to document a decision that should already have research documention? I mean contraceptives are an “essential medical service” right, so why aren’t the documents readily available? Or will it just take five years so Obama doesn’t have to explain some other unfounded decisions?

While I hope HHS and Sebelius get smacked hard, I doubt it will come to more than a slap on the wrist.
 
Imagine how many lawsuits they could have prevented had they held public hearings instead of making the entire process a backroom deal to hide the faces of the guilty.
