Planned Parenthood Pulls Names of Corporate Donors After Coca-Cola, Ford and Xerox Object

dailysignal.com/2015/07/23/planned-parenthood-pulls-names-of-corporate-donors-after-coca-cola-ford-and-xerox-object/
The organization that released the videos claim they have hundreds of hours more of videos and the worst is yet to come. Coupled with the Gosnell trial one wonders if we had finally reached a tipping point on support for this vile organization and for support and abortion in general .

It is hard for abortion proponents to claim they care only about a woman’s right to choose when videos surfacev showing abortionists manipulating abortion procedures to maximize the profits they can make from the dead child .

From the headline I thought it meant the companies are going to stop sponsoring. Turns out it’s more Interesting than that:
A representative from Coca-Cola confirmed for The Daily Signal the company does not contribute to Planned Parenthood, nor does it match employee contributions to the organization.
Someone is lying and I’m going to say it’s not Coca-Cola because if they did in fact contribute there would be a record of it. As it stands, planned parenthood hasn’t defended the use of Coke’s name in the list of sponsors, they quietly removed it.

ETA: This makes me happy and a little less guilty since I drink a lot of Coke.

People killed on death row (no matter how evil theri crime) are given time to repent, seek forgiveness, confer with a priest and receive sacraments and can thus still be saved if they so wish. Somebody killed in the middle of an evil act is going straight to Hell. So if you do that you are responsible for sending them to Hell? Am I mistaken?
The only person responsible for sending them to hell is themselves.

It’s better if we can end a violent situation caused by someone else without killing them. But if it is not possible to end it without killing them, then killing them is permissible and we hold no responsibility or guilt for their death or their eternal destination.

Agreed.

And your earlier statement about those on here who support abortion, about how quiet they have become, is right on the money. It is complete silence/tumbleweeds/crickets from them on the threads about these butchers. They are staying away en masse.

I think this scandal really undercuts their resistance to laws requiring the woman view a sonogram before proceeding with the abortion.

Clinics obviously have the sonogram equipment but likely fight the requirement because of profit. These women are ‘cash cows’ and everyone knows showing the sonogram will convince x% to not proceed with the procedure.

What’s really sick is how they portray the donation as an altruistic act that will help advance research and save lives. The women consent because it makes them feel better about what they are about to do. That feeling of altruism dissipates when you realize it’s just big bucks for PP and the middle men, instead they are just being ‘used’

Yes, many women seeing the sono of the baby decide to not go through with the abortion, they know that. The infamous DR Tiller had his abortion services in a hospital but the women had to walk through the baby nursery to get to it and many left. He set up a off site clinic so they didn’t have to see babies. Really diabolical.

The real scandal is that his kind of badly-edited video is used as a pretext for doing something immensely damaging.

What goes through the minds of people who have a mindset that says “I’ll defund major health organisation that helps millions of women every year, is widely supported by a majority of Americans, and gives serious medical attention to women who need it, for me - because less than 5% of their money is spent on abortion, an issue which, like it or not, was settled by the Supreme Court over 40 years ago?”

Instead of thinking about an issue, this thread, the others on CAF and lots of other places, in the media, and in general conversation, isn’t about thinking at all. it’s just a feeling. A reaction.

Yes this is a Catholic site, and yes there is a teaching on contraception (let’s not split hairs about abortifacient contraceptives for now, nor bring up the fact that getting on for 70% of ‘faithful’ Catholic women, married or not, in reputedly excellent standing with the Church, are using non-natural contraception). But if you put a condom on, 15% of 98% of the time, you will literally not conceive (which is to say, pretty much always). If you don’t conceive, you very rarely tend to want to get an abortion.

Planned Parenthood has quite probably prevented more abortions than everyone who opposes the organisation put together.

**

Random thoughts, and I’m not saying I actually necessarily agree with all of the above, but sometimes the bigger picture is important.

Your numbers may be flawed

Matt Walsh

On July 28th there will be rallies around the country calling for the immediate defunding of Planned Parenthood. I’ll be speaking at the DC event, along with many others. Please come out if you can, if not to DC then one of the other cities. Follow the link to find out more about the rally and the other locations.

If we can’t finally take funding away from this indefensible, evil, rotten, despicable organization after these latest revelations, then we never will. The time is now. Enough is enough. Hope to see you all there:

The government has no business funding PP. Let those individuals who wish to do so contribute to the organization. There are other ways to provide health care to women that does not involve this organization. I am sick and tired of the argument that PP provides healthcare for women. What they provide in the main is abortion and there is a significent percentage of the American people who do not approve of abortion at all, and many more who do not believe in abortion past the first trimester. Don’t think there are “parts” to be harvested in the first trimester.

Also, as an aside, the government has no business funding NPR. If they are as popular as some folks think, they can fund themselves as other radio and TV stations do.

There is a lot of credible testimony that Planned Parenthood largely counsels women to get abortions no matter what. That is pretty vile and with stories like this, it’s probably true.

There are percentages per the number of women who go in there and then, end up getting abortions, abortions means money for Planned Parenthood. Also, of course, it has been shown their clinics are largely in ethnic neighborhoods it seems.

Insiders tell this story as well.

But first, they have to get them pregnant, it’s a numbers game.

You are wrong in your perception.PP is all about abortion. To them the end justifies the means. To the extent that they were years ago, exposed by a former nurse of having falsely misled clients into believing they were pregnant, when in fact they were not. They were actually performing"abortions" on clients unnecessarily.I watched a video testimony from former doctors and nurses of PP re this as part of my training as a counselor in a crisis pregnancy center. As a result of PP actions they are not allowed to perform abortions based on their pregnancy tests.Clients have to get a test from another source.they are vile and need to be defunded.Hopefully eventually shut down completely.

The real scandal is that this evil organization is even allowed to exist in this country . And please let’s drop it about the supposedly edited videos. The entire videos Were placed online . The despicable things they said are not mitigated in anyway with the entire video is viewed. Especially the one with the lady casually eating lunch while she describes how they modify their abortion procedures so they can get bigger pieces of the baby to harvest parts from

Yes, it makes me happy, too…I love my Coke!

Planned Parenthood insinuated on their website that Coke, Ford, and other companies were donors. When, in fact, they were not.
PP is quite deceptive ! After Coke, Ford, and Xerox asked to have their names
removed from the website, PP removed the names of ALL the “donors”.
I posted this on another thread, but in case you didn’t see it, this will brighten your day. 😉

"I work for The Coca-Cola Company’s Public Affairs and Communications team and wanted to clarify something Mr. Erickson discussed regarding our company and Planned Parenthood.

We do not contribute to Planned Parenthood, and employee gifts to Planned Parenthood are not matched.

Just want to clarify, we did not change our policy – in fact, we have never matched employee gifts to Planned Parenthood. We were not listed as a corporate sponsor on Planned Parenthood’s website – we were listed among companies that match employee gifts. The implication was that gifts to them would be matched. This is why we asked them to correct their site.

And this is what the PP site looked like before it completely removed their list of “donors” on Thursday:
