This is a religious freedom issue, number one. And I really don’t think Catholic hospitals will now do sterilizations nor would they condone abortifacients. I don’t think that has ever been the case anywhere. And these are free with no copay to the patient. That means that these institutions will pay even MORE MONEY, for even MORE ANTI LIFE poceedures that are absolutely against Church teaching. Don’t kid yourself either, abortion itself would be next on the agenda that Catholics and others MUST PAY FOR. This isn’t the first values issue the President or his administration has stepped on. He has basically declared war on religious groups Catholics and others as well. I hope he’s up for the battle.

And? 98% have used birth control* at some point in their lives.* This is quite possibly long before they were devout Catholics, or even Catholics at all. And why was the birth control used? For health reasons or to actually prevent birth? The poll is loaded. And its irrelevant anyway. 100% of Catholics have probably lied at some point in their life. It’s still against the faith to do so, and that is the matter at hand - being forced to do something against Church doctrine.

My wife, before we were married, had to use “birth control” pills because of an irregular cycle. We never used such afterwards.
