It is a mortal sin for a cathloic to go and play golf on a Sunday and not go to church… What happens to non-cathloic if they do the same thing.
I doubt if that man cared if he went to Church or not, but that is a good idea to go to vigil mass, a lot of people do that , so they have their Sundays freeHmmm…I’m wondering whether it would be fine as long as you set aside Saturday as your day of rest and you went to the vigil mass on Saturday evening.
It is a mortal sin to deliberately miss Mass.It is a mortal sin for a cathloic to go and play golf on a Sunday and not go to church…
Non-Catholics are not under Canon Law obligation to assist at Mass. What happens to non-cathloic if they do the same thing.
Which one is more important to you? Are your priorities in line with God’s priorities? Golf is not inherently evil, unless you cuss like I do when you play.It is a mortal sin for a cathloic to go and play golf on a Sunday and not go to church… What happens to non-cathloic if they do the same thing.

See post #8 where I answered this question. It is a mortal sin for a cathloic to go and play golf on a Sunday and not go to church… What happens to non-cathloic if they do the same thing.
For anyone who knows they have a Sunday obligation to fulfill, and who knowingly disregards the obligation without good reason (Want to play golf is not a good reason) objectively speaking, has committed a mortal sin. The non Catholic is most likely not aware of the obligation, and therefore any sin involved would not be mortal and may not be a sin at all.It is a mortal sin for a cathloic to go and play golf on a Sunday and not go to church… What happens to non-cathloic if they do the same thing.

There is no subsituting sat and sunday for rest day. One can attend mass on sat or sun to fulfill his sunday obligation thoughHmmm…I’m wondering whether it would be fine as long as you set aside Saturday as your day of rest and you went to the vigil mass on Saturday evening.
men should care if he went to church or not. The intent of going one day to mass so they can bypass the other so they can do what they want is wrong. Not mortally wrong, but wrong.I doubt if that man cared if he went to Church or not, but that is a good idea to go to vigil mass, a lot of people do that , so they have their Sundays free![]()
I was at an all day conference on a Friday during lent a few years ago and I ordered a small bowl of Clam Chowder for lunch and the guys at the table with me ordered the pulled pork sandwich plate and It looked good and I said so and the guys said go ahead and have one yourself and I informed them that it was Friday during Lent and that means no meat. Well one of the fellows asked me if I go to Church and I said I did. He went on to inform me that Sunday was his one day off (he looks up towards the heavens) and says “no offense to the big guy upstairs but Sunday is my one day off and I am not going to spend it in church”. Huh.This is funny, a Catholic man once told me, if it`s a bright sunny Sunday morning, I am not going to sit in a Church, I am going to play golf, It takes all kinds!

Another time, a Catholic man told me during holy week that a priest told him it`s a good Friday when U have meat to eat, again takes all kinds, proving that we catholics do not see everything in the same lightI was at an all day conference on a Friday during lent a few years ago and I ordered a small bowl of Clam Chowder for lunch and the guys at the table with me ordered the pulled pork sandwich plate and It looked good and I said so and the guys said go ahead and have one yourself and I informed them that it was Friday during Lent and that means no meat. Why would a priest say such a thing. At one point in Catholics didn’t eat mean on any Friday.Another time, a Catholic man told me during holy week that a priest told him it`s a good Friday when U have meat to eat, again takes all kinds, proving that we catholics do not see everything in the same light
