Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end Amen

Prayer for a Lonely Soul

Jesus, Friend of a lonely heart,
You are my haven, You are my peace.
You are my salvation,
You are my serenity in moments of struggle
And amidst an ocean of doubts.
You are the bright ray that lights up the path of my life.
You are everything to a lonely soul.
You understand the soul even though it remains silent.
You know our weaknesses and you comfort and heal, sparing us sufferings.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Dear Peter,
I understand how you feel…and I have been there often.
The best cure Peter for what you are experiencing is for you to make a commitment to attend Mass daily to receive Your Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ…He is there for you to receive Him.

Have great expectation about His desire to help you because that is who Jesus is in the Holy Eucharist…but we must come in truth…if we do not expect to meet Jesus there in the Eucharist, it is due to our unbelief, not related to ‘who’ Jesus’ is…He is there for you…receive Him in faith and expectation. As you may know, He cannot deny Himself…He wants to help you, but if we do not even think so, then He cannot help us due to our own unbelief.

Receive Holy Communion daily as well as on Sunday brother, and come with great expectation, and yes, Peter, you will be healed, and move on to help others with the same condition.
God bless you!

Peter,

Just coming to say hi and to find out how you are doing. I’ve heard another well-known speaker teach that the answer to personal problems was to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and another that the answer to loneliness was to accept Jesus as your Savior. I know these may be an answer for some situations but certainly not for all. Some of our problems are physical in nature, numerous problems are emotional in nature caused by unresolved negative emotions and/or by impaired relationships; and some by a multiple of different spiritual causes. Problems may be caused by a combination of all three of these areas. we should always and all time take them to the Lord by praying. if you need to talk further you can contact me and we can continue to pray for God’s intervention.yohmukwelle@yahoo.com. May our Good Good and our Mother Mary be your helper.

silence and lonliness is killing me. can someone help?

no one to reach out to, talk to. please help

i love God and you folks too, but its killing me.

please help

thank you
I kind of understand how you feel. I’m pretty much alone in the world but at least I can get out and about. But I really don’t have any close friends to chat with. You haven’t told us much except that you are alone and home bound. I assume you are disabled in some way. If you could be a little more specific someone may be able to give you an idea or two that may help a little. For example, many parishes and catholic schools have " home visitor " of " shut in " visitor programs. Some diosceses do also. Perhaps you could contact the director of one of these programs and have someone drop by for a visit once in awhile.

I assume you can get to a computer since you have posted here. There are so many good forums on C.A. F. that you can take part in and be a part of our internet community. I think I have seen you post on the philosophy forum. Right, or wrong? Really, you could be busy all day on these forums. Some of them are very interesting!! And even this forum will let you see that you certainly are not the only one who has problems. And believe me, while loneliness and being home bound is a real cross, just look at the crosses others are carrying. Example, I have and old classmate, 73, who has sever diabetes, even had a foot amputed, and has had kidney transplant. He is our " senior priest in residence ." The other day he went missing. Of course eveyone was in a panic. Turns out had had a dibetic coma land wrecked his car. Now he won’t be able to drive. At least he is not alone. However I have another friend who is 90% paralized and unconscious most of the time. And of course he is 100% bed ridden and has a feeding tube and lots of other tubes. So you can offer your cross for these folks and too many to count like them.

EWTN has a great audio library. Go to " Faith " then " Libraries " and look over the list. Days and days of listening there.

How about reading, are you able to hold a book and read? There are so many good books out there. I wish I hadn’t read all the Louis L’Amour books already and all of the Agatha Christie novels. That would be a whole year of reading there, by itself. Of course one can read them a second and even a third time. They are so much fun.

Hope I have given you an idea that will give some mental relief.

Dear Lord,

I pray that you would surround Peter with the love and peace of the Holy Spirit. Give him friends and family that will rally to his side and also lift him up in prayer and in friendship. Let him know that he is never alone as long as he puts his faith and trust in You. I pray that he would always be aware of the great cloud of witnesses in Heaven, your Saints, rooting him on to spiritual victory. We ask always that Your will be done in our lives. We love you Lord Jesus for your precious Sacrifice on the Cross and your Holy Resurrection. Through these works that you did, we can die to ourselves and rise again to new life in You. Thank you for Your Holy Sacraments that You give us through the ministry of Your Body, the Church. I pray that Peter will run to the Sacraments, and be filled with the Holy Spirit all the more through them. Love him Lord as only You can.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

silence and lonliness is killing me. can someone help?
Part of a three part post on loneliness from Mark Davies. Properly understood, it’s not going to kill you. But it will force you to consider who or what you are.
That through the often difficult journey of solitude we will find our true identity, and be rightly connected to God, to ourselves, and to others – the holy trinity of relationships. Yet rarely if ever do we meet our loneliness by seeking solitude. We may isolate ourselves from others, but this is a shutting off, rather than a way of seeking. St. Augustine in his Confessions noted that “Thou hast made us for Thyself, O God, and our hearts are restless until they find rest in Thee” (1961, p.21). Is loneliness that eternal part of who we are?
Be of good cheer. You’ve gotten a wonderful response with all these posts here. Maybe you just don’t understand what loneliness is…

Itullian, I am feeling quite lonely right now as well. Two of my best friends just left town and my only other good, reliable friend and I had a falling out of sorts about a month ago we’re still recovering from. I feel like I have no one, I went to Mass yesterday and didn’t want to talk to or even acknowledge anyone depite the fact that they made that effort towards me. I’m beginning to doubt my desired vocation, it is literally all I want in this life and I’m not at all confident that I’ll ever have a chance to fulfill this desire.

I don’t mean to steal your thread, I just wanted to vent and ask for prayers. God Bless
