This thread is about one of God’s children in horrific pain and all you want to know is what I mean by “liberal” Catholic. I think you just distinguished between the two with your question.

I heard a great story.
A man was on top of his house because there was a great flood.
He prayed to God to save him. He know God would do this.
Along came a life boat. He said, “Don’t worry, God will save me.”
Along came a helicopter. He said, “Don’t worry, God will save me.”
Eventually he died and went to heaven. He asked God: “Why didn’t you come and save me?”
God said, “I sent you a life boat and a helicopter. What more did you want to be saved from drowning?”
Nuff said.
Look to what is saving you and go with it, child. It is there, believe me.
God love you.

god bless you ricky because the devil wages war on you so intensely it must mean jesus has a truly wonderful will for you the devil wishes to corrupt. Listen there will be up’s of extreme peace, and closeness with god, and there will be down’s of extreme despair and crying because of giving into sin (sadly im on the down side right now and now that feeling in your stomach). Christ is god, knock and he will open that door for you, have confidence in the lord. know that one of gods angels is more powerful than all the legions of hell put together because of god’s glory and power. We all have had blasphemous thoughts and urges dont despair have hope in God. I have been where you are with doubt and god has revealed himself to me through the holy spirit. Pursue christ and study him. Dont fear hell for the devils are powerless against the lord our god, but fear the separation of him who loves us soo gently. Pray Pray Pray for god will bend down and comfort us poor sinners. Remember my friend we have all fallen short of the glory of god nobody is past forgivness, the land is level at the foot of the cross.
Dear Jesus glory be to your holy name, i pray for ricks peace and the triumph in his battle with the evil spirits, lord for the sake of your glorious son have mercy on him and on all of us poor sinners, lead him towards peace and joy in you through the holy spirit. Oh mother of mercy lift this prayer up before you beloved son and show us mercy. May rick find comfort in the Lord Jesus christ. Amen

This is very very true. Satan may know that God is calling you and using your OCD to get to you. You might think about going on a retreat. Here is a link to some Canadian retreat houses.
