Please help me to obey my Priest

I entrusted certain information to him, and he told me he didn’t want me to pursue it further. I want to obey him, but my brain does not seem to want to - I find myself trying to make “progress” on the matter I left to him.

Please pray that God will help me respect the limits set for me.

If you will not listen to your Priest, will you listen to Saint Francis de Sales?
Patience
One of the principal obstacles one encounters on the way to perfection is the precipitous and impatient desire to progress and to possess those virtues that we feel we don’t have. On the contrary, the true means of solidly advancing, and with giant steps, is to be patient and to calm and pacify these anxieties … Don’t get ahead of your guide for fear of getting lost and straying from the path that He indicates, because, if you do, instead of arriving safe and sound, you will fall into a pit. Your guide is the Holy Spirit. By your struggles and worries, by your anxiety and haste, you overtake Him with the pretense of moving more quickly. And then what happens? You stray from the path and find yourself on terrain that is harder and rougher and, far from advancing, you go backwards; at a minimum, you waste your time.

A Prayer for the Virtue of Obedience

Jesus, Almighty King of Kings,
You Who obeyed Your Father to the end,
Teach me the meaning of obedience.
My soul burns to comply to Your Will,
Striving to charm Your Divinity.

Sometimes we need to let things go for awhile. Sometimes the answer comes later when we are not expecting it. Praying for you.

Obedience can be difficult but is a wonderful virtue. It sounds like this is an opportunity being given to you by God to practice obedience.

Praying for your intentions and for Medical Doctors that may be seen in the future for it is nice to have already prayed for them (Our Lord knows who they are even if not born yet:wink:). Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of human forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord. . . . 😉 🙂
