If you’ll do a google search, you’ll see that this isn’t reported by a single real news organization. Don’t you think that if he said something like that, at least one of the major media outlets would be all over it? Why isn’t anyone interviewing any of these “multiple Cardinals” who supposedly say that “Pope Francis is the false prophet?”

Yeah, if he actually said it they’d be all over it. It’s obviously fake, but I figured there must be something that in some very obscure way sounded like this and was taken out of context to a huge extreme. I was wondering what quote it might have actually come from.

I’d say “not necessarily,” but it will be interesting to see if anyone can come up with something that could be twisted into this.

This is clearly a fake news site. It’s registered using a yahoo.com address (zlatanovski17@yahoo.com) out of Macedonia. These are some other sites registered with that email:

extraordinaryinfo./com
dawnlightnews./com
m2voice./com

I wouldn’t go to any of them. The ad money probably goes to the Russian mafia or something equally nefarious.

Right. Although there certainly have been times where the pope has said something that has been taken out of context, it doesn’t mean that every story on every site has a grain of truth to it. Sites like this say whatever they have to in order to garner clicks and generate revenue.

Even if you don’t trust mainstream sources to report on Pope Francis accurately, they can at least be depended upon to report on him at all when he says something that could be potentially misconstrued (such as a few years back when certain news outlets were reporting that Pope Francis said Jesus was a failure). If you can’t find any other verification, that is a big red flag. The best response is to assume that the story is a complete fabrication until and unless some reports from the mainstream media start coming in. If that happens, then you would get more specific information regarding when he said such things. Then I head straight to the Vatican website to pull up the homily/speech/etc. and see what the pope actually said.

I don’t anticipate that happening for this story. Don’t waste your time on it.

Thank you all for looking into it and taking the time to reply. It really does appear to be a complete fabrication. I’ll take that to the people spreading such nonsense to set the record straight.
