Hi all, thank you all for praying for my friend.

They are still hanging on, with lots of strong pain medication, although the end is expected to come any day now and the preparations have all been made for that.

I had a short discussion with a priest at the local parish about this situation last weekend, which helped me process this a bit.

Please continue to say a little prayer for us all, if you wouldn’t mind.

Dear Blessed Mother, please continue to intercede for @Tis_Bearself’s friend. Please be with her friend now and at the hour of death. Please ask God to give comfort to the friend’s family.

I pray that God may comfort them and fill them with His Love. I pray for their health and for healing of all of the sick. In the most Holy name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.

Still hanging on but the end is very near. The good part is it sounds like it is going to be a “happy death”.

Hi all,
Friend is still living. I don’t think this was expected. Spouse had to put them into a hospice rather than following the original plan of them passing peacefully at home.

Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for all involved. I can’t express well how I feel about this, my heart goes out to the spouse who has been carrying for a long time a very heavy burden that I myself was spared.
 
God of power and mercy, you have made death itself the gateway to eternal life. Look with love on our dying brother/sister and make him/her one with Your Son in His suffering and death, that, sealed with the blood of Christ, he/she may come before you free from sin. Amen.
O Lord, grant those who have died the joy of Your Presence, and us who are living the happiness of knowing this.
May this spouse feel unburdened of the physical care and be able to give what your dying friend needs to pass on to the Lord in peace.
