Please pray for a young woman near death

I want to thank all of you who answered my call to prayer for K and for me*.

It must be doing some good, because she’s off the ventilator now and breathing on her own! 👍

Oh, and I want to thank God too! God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the BVM, the angels (:angel1:) and saints, and anybody else who had a hand in this, thank you, and keep up the good work.

And . . . I will pray (:signofcross: :gopray2:) for all of you (:getholy:) too. :blessyou: :amen:

*P.S. Some good things happened to me too. 😛

Today was to be the day of the first of several localized cancer surgeries for K, or at least that’s what we all expected. Yes, she got stronger, but now she’s supposedly back into the surgical cancer removal mode, so I imagine things are pretty rough for her right now.

I haven’t received an update, so I don’t know for sure, but please say a few prayers for her.

Apparently, the operation took place, but K has been in intensive care ever since the operation yesterday. I don’t know any more than that, other than that she’s not receiving visitors right now.

Again, please continue to pray for her. Thank you.

Apparently K has not yet awakened from the anesthesia she received for the operation on Monday. Word has it that the pneumonia may have done something to damage her lungs so that she still remains unconscious.

She needs all the prayers she can get.

Personally, I feel sick with dread even though I barely knew her.

I guess I’m going to sign off and pray some more.

Thank you to all who are praying for her.

K has awakened, but unfortunately is still too weak to breathe on her own. That means that she still needs machines to help her breathe, which brings me back to wondering about VAP again. I made reference to VAP in post #1 at the very beginning of this thread.

Her blood pressure is also terribly low.

Visitations are also rather limited, so news is slow getting out of the ICU.

As you might imagine, all of this is terribly upsetting to her brother who generously gave her one of his kidneys.

Please continue to pray for K, and in addition for her brother, that God might grant him a measure of serenity in this awful time.
