Please pray for ALPHA healing service - South Africa

Hi to All on the Catholic Prayer Intentions Forum!

My name is Bryan, married to Rene’ and we are blessed with 2 healthy and lively sons, Luke (4) and Joshua (2). We live in Durban, South Africa (Home of the current rugby world champions) and we fellowship and attend mass at St Josephs Catholic Church, Morningside, Durban.

We are busy with our very first ALPHA course which has been an overwhelming success so far. We have 60 people on the cousre, mostly parishioners, and we plan to run another ALPHA course next year. As one pastor shared, it is the only course he knows where people are filled with the Holy Spirit! We have our talk titled “Does God Heal Today?” planned for this Thursday evening (1st November 2007) so if you have any capacity left in your prayer lives, we humbly ask for the powerful healing presence of the Lord, so that people requesting prayer for healing may indeed be healed.

Lord God, we humbly pray that You will look with kindness on those who gather in Your Holy Name. In Your infinite mercy, grant them an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, that they may be filled and that the gifts of Your Holy Spirit may be seen in all. Draw them together in love, merciful Father, that many blessings and good works of love may be realized. Grant them blessed peace, with the hope of an eternity to spend in adoration of you. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, to send you Holy Spirit to this group. Bless them and heal them if it is your will. AMEN
 
I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.
