You show special compassion for alcoholics and drug addicts. You have freed so many people from their dependencies. Free this young man I beg you, dear Father Alfred, and free those people I recommend to you, especially members of my family.
I come to you with confidence. I pray for myself and for all those who are dear to me. Come also to the assistance of the Church and of the whole world. Amen.

Let your grace start the healing process that will lead them to complete and total recovery in you. Without you, not one person on this planet has any hope for a future. You love all people equally. Lord, please heal all addicts and especially the person I’m praying for. Strengthen the family, friends and support systems of addicts so that they may offer the consistent love the addict needs to be whole and healed. Please touch researchers who are working on cures for addiction and change our society to have compassionate hearts for those struggling with addiction. Lord, work a miracle in the lives of these poor afflicted ones and let them be made new in you for the glory of God, united with your sacrifice on the cross.

Lord, please offer total, miraculous healing for the addict I’m praying for. Protect them from temptation, bad influences, despair and all relapse. Guard their future. Provide support systems and better friends. Please let this person come to know an enjoy a deep relationship with you. Let this young persons’ healing be a witness to your infinite love and mercy.

I’m asking prayers for a young addict who is addicted to prescription pain medication.

He is trying to figure out how to stop, is resistant to joining a group, embarrassed, without hope and surrounded by bad influences.
I have tried to be Jesus to him and show him God’s love, listen, provide support and encouragement, but there are so many trials and obstacles in his path that privately, I don’t know how God can heal him from addiction or help him right now.

His work environment, his own stubbornness and depression, his lack of faith…

Please pray for God to touch this young adult, heal him completely from addiction and to convert his heart. Please pray for God to protect him from bad influences.
Please, please, pray for him to make good and smart choices.

I don’t know how best to love him as a Christian, so I’m praying as hard as I can and trying to encourage him that there is a bright future for him.

Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly for this young man’s healing from addiction, and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee. Amen.
 
Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
