Father will be operated on no later than May 18. It’s a long story why they can’t perform the surgery right away despite his condition being urgent enough to warrant it (had he not sought help when he did, he might have dropped dead by now :(), but measures have been taken to control the problem in the meantime. We hope it’s enough, and leave the rest up to God.

Thank you to all who continue to pray for Fr. B. :thankyou: I saw him on Ascension Thursday for Mass…there has been no change in his situation. He continues to wait in uncertainty, but his prescription medications seem to be holding him together for now. Father spends most of his time outside the parish now, as it’s more restful for him to stay with his brother. I will see him again tomorrow. Thank you again.

No word yet on exactly when Father will be operated on, but I did find out today that of all the possible methods of fixing his problem, the surgeon has chosen the one with the highest long-term survival rate. Unfortunately, it’s also the most invasive and thus carries the highest risk of complications, plus it will take a long time to recover from: several weeks to several months.

Lord, please grant Fr. B a full recovery from his health problems. In this as in all things, however, may Your will be done. :signofcross:
