Blessed Savior, I thank You that this operation is safely past, and now I pray that Fr. B may rest in Your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of Your healing life into every part of his being. In moments of pain may he turn to You for strength, in times of loneliness may he feel Your loving nearness.

Grant that Your life and love and joy may flow through him for the healing of others in Your name.

Amen.

Fr. B’s recovery is coming along…except that he still can’t sleep and there is fluid accumulating in one of his lungs. (They’re likely to pump it out sooner rather than later, if the latter situation doesn’t resolve itself.)

Fr. B is still struggling with pulmonary edema and is now having episodes of unpredictable trembling. What worries me the most, however, is his insistence on being discharged from rehab no later than Wednesday June 29th regardless of what state he’s in when that day comes. :eek: Please pray for him to be patient during his continuing recovery, particularly that he will listen to and heed the doctors’ recommendations even if what they tell him isn’t what he wants to hear.
