Please pray for Louis who has a herniated disc

Brothers and Sisters:

Please pray for my friend Louis (His friends call him “Lou”) who return home last week from Colorado with extreme lower back spasms and sciatica resulting from a herniated disc which is causing bilateral nerve root impingment in his lower spine.

I’ve heard that he is scheduled for a series of Epidural injections in his lower spine between now and the end of Dec.(3 injections usually take 6-8 weeks including MRI’s and wait for scheduling). In most circumstances, Epidurals will provide relief from most of the pain for 12-18 months after the first series.

I’ve had 2 series since 2004.

Please pray that the LORD heal Lou’s herniated disc along with the rest of his spine and that he bring both Lou and his wife to a knowledge of and faith in Jesus Christ, as well as to the Catholic Faith.

Merciful Lord of Creation, look with Heavenly compassion upon Lou, who suffers the crucifying pain of a lower back injury. Graciously bless him with renewed hope and an increase in faith as he struggles, with Your Divine assistance, toward recovery. Inspire him to offer his suffering up to Your Beloved Son. Journey with him, Blessed Father of all, as he endures that which is and that which will be. Lovingly hear the pleas of his brothers and sisters in Christ, as they implore You to grant Your mercy and healing grace to him. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.

illness, alleviate Lou’s worry,

to understand his healing came

Will keep Lou and the herniated disc and his whole spine in prayer daily…and that he and his wife will come to know the Jesus we proclaim in The Catholic Church…may The Lord heal him keeping him free of pain and grant to him and his wife the great gift of Faith…
