When you mention the fact that parents used to be able to leave
their children to go a short distance,the God sceptics will say what Golden Age are you talking about?The 1940’s,when we had WW2 or the War to end all wars 1914-1918?The answer to that,of course,is that we have still got wars.The difference is that now we have got children abducted or shot dead in our streets.A rare thing when i was a child.
