Dear CAF family,
Thank you all for the love and support you have given me with your continued prayers.
Will be having more bloodwork at end of month to determine if dose of bloodthinner needs to be changed. Have some discomfort at times but generally okay. One of the tests they did showed inflammation of blood vessels, arteries as well as veins, which leads to clots. In my searches for Patron Saints, I found that St Benedict is the patron of inflammatory diseases. I found the following prayer to add to your wonderful prayers for me and for all those so afflicted:
Glorious St. Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God’s grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at your feet. I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne of God. To you I have recourse in the dangers that daily surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor. Inspire me to imitate you in all things. May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.
Graciously obtain for me from God those favors and graces which I need so much in the trials, miseries, and afflictions of life. Your heart was always full of love, compassion, and mercy toward those who were afflicted or troubled in any way. You never dismissed without consolation and assistance anyone who had recourse to you. I therefore invoke your powerful intercession, confident in the hope that you will hear my prayers and obtain for me the special grace and favor I earnestly implore for relief of inflammation of my blood vessels, prevention of new blood clots (and for all those so afflicted).
Help me, great St. Benedict, to live and die as a faithful child of God, to run in the sweetness of His loving will, and to attain the eternal happiness of heaven. Amen

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen
Adding prayers for the intercession of St. Lydwine of Schiedham for all those so afflicted with chronic illness.
May God bless you all abundantly for your kindness to me and so many others.
