Please Pray for Marilyn Manson

Please pray for this guy, there’s something about him that makes me a bit sad. I was reading some stuff about him and felt the urge to say a quick prayer for him.

For those who don’t know, Marilyn Manson is a rather strange musician with who I believe has been called the ‘Reverend Marilyn Manson of the Church of Satan’.

Please pray for him and those who “follow” him.

It would be quite something to see, him converting to Catholicism…

Didn’t he grow up Episcopalian or Pentecostal or something? Are you sure he takes that label for himself or did someone else give it to him?

Nevertheless, anyone can use prayers!

Heavenly Father, please enlighten this man who goes by Marilyn Manson, may he become a beacon for your Truth and influence those who follow him to do the same. Amen. :harp:
 
Dear Lord, I pray for Marilyn Manson that he may be able to know you in a personal way. Touch his heart Lord, pour your mercy toward this person Lord that he may turn from sin and come back to your fold. This i pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Manson grew up Catholic. He grew to resent the Catholic Church, and became a musician bent on challenging and even spitting in the face of not only Catholicism, but all earthly authority and even God Himself.

He met Anton Lavey, the then-leader of the Church of Satan, and Lavey passed on the title to Manson. Marylin Manson is considered by many to be the leader of Satanism, at least in America/Europe. He professes himself to be this, as well, and readily admits to taking part in Satanic rituals and ceremonies–even that of “sacrificing” babies.:mad:

He, and all of his misguided, betrayed followers, could use a ton of prayers.

PS…his birth name was Brian Hugh Warner. He took the name Marilyn Manson to give “tribute” to Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson…this is one sick, twisted person…but a person nonetheless and greatly in need of prayer.
 
Praying very hard for his conversion and all who think like him!
 
i have a very good friend who wears mm’s shirts and i know that marilyn manson will one day see the light. just gotta keep praying.

Ok, I talked to a couple music lovers tonight and they were insistent that he is not Satanic, He just says stuff for shock value. Any links to stories about him participating in such rituals?

Haha…of course fans will say this. When I listened to this type of music, I said the same thing about him.

My apologies; he was raised Episcopalian, though one parent was Catholic.

Though this article says that his ‘brand of Satanism’ doesn’t believe in Satan (or God, for that matter) as a being or person, bear in mind that “the greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” Also, notice that Manson works tirelessly against the Christian Church and against the Christian God.

I learned about Manson’s affiliation with the Church of Satan on a documentary entitled “They Sold Their Souls for Rock & Roll” by Fight the Good Fight Ministries. It is a Protestant ministry, but they are right on target in a lot of what they say.

May God have mercy on the souls of all those led astray by the wicked.

I will defineatly pray for him. It’s so devestating to see people in that lifestyle. You are right with God anything is possible.
 
What may I ask is wrong with what Marilyn Manson does?

He does not hate God as expressed in lyrics such as “I never really hated the one true God/ but the God of the people I hated”

He is a talented, if unconventional, musician who has provides hope to millions of angst-ridden teenagers

Yes, the Poster-Boy for angsty depressed kids who don’t take the time to understand religion, but just go on hating it…who wouldn’t want to be that?

Marylin Manson was a friend of Anton Lavey, and the latter passed on to the former the role of minister in the Church of Satan. The Church of Satan mocks Christianity in its Black Masses and mocks Jesus Christ as a wimpy loser hippie.

Now you tell me he doesn’t need prayers.

He doesn’t.

The branch of Satanism that Manson adheres to believs only in the individual- not in the Devil. Black masses aren’t a mockery- they are merely being symbolic and reactionary. Your concept of mockery is somewhat amiss.

Take the time to understand religion? What is there to understand? And how can one hope to find comfort and reassurance after being bullied from a book of fables that bare no relation (except in the metaphorical sense) to modernity?
 
Holy Spirit please touch and heal the minds and spirits of this man and of all who have influence on the minds and spirits of their listeners and fans. Please protect impressionable minds and inspire them with Christian virtues.
