Lately I’ve just been careless once I’ve fallen into sin. If I have no sins that need to be confessed I can go for some days. If I commit a sin I feel is mortal I just become careless and I go on to commit many more sins.

I especially struggle with lies when people ask me difficult questions that, if I told them the truth, could possibly make them offended, or shun me.

I also struggle with lust. This seems to stem from my constant use of the computer while at home, and the unavoidable sinful images that will be found on even the most innocent searches. I try to avoid these images, but even if you look away, the evil and hideous pictures will come back into your mind (even images I looked at before I was a Catholic) and cause you to lust. This is infuriating.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

My biggest fear is offending people. Thus, I never really do anything to stop people from gossipping/detracting/slandering, nothing to stop people from mocking the Church, and nothing to stop people from sinning. I just want to be nice to people, not a preacher. People hate being preached to.

I also struggle with being habitually rude to my parents, but often they say I wasn’t rude to them when I ask. 🤷

I’m really lazy around the house. All I want to do is use the computer, but when I’m using the computer all I really do is wonder why I’m even on it. I feel the computer is digital heroin: It makes you lazy, it eats your time, and you can’t stop no matter what. Once I leave the house, I feel free from the bondage of the computer. The only problem: my mother is always worried about me. If I don’t call her before I do something she may get worried that I had a car accident and died. As a result, I’m always afraid to tell her that I’m just going to get out of the house and drive anywhere. She might start questioning me or get worried.

Please pray that I can understand what is a venial sin and what is a mortal sin, and also pray that I can go for more than a week without having to go to confession. Thanks! 👍

Set search engine filters to block most ‘offensive’ images. You need to man up and own your problem. It’s not the computers fault, its you. Sorry to be so blunt, but it’s a recurring theme with you. I pray you find the inner strength tobecome a better person. You can see your faults, now fix them.

Praying for you to find strength to fight sin … may the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be your guide …

Divine Mercy Chaplet

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Behold me, O my God, at Your feet! I do not deserve mercy, but O my Redeemer, the blood with You have shed for me encourages me and obliges me to hope for it. How often I have offended You, repented, and yet have I again fallen into the same sin. O my God, I wish to amend, and in order to be faithful to You, I will place all my confidence in You. I will, whenever I am tempted, instantly have recourse to You. Until now, I have trusted in my own promises and resolutions and have neglected to recommend myself to You in my temptations. This has been the cause of my repeated failures. From this day forward, be You, O Lord, my strength, and this shall I be able to do all things, for “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.” Amen.

Lord Jesus, please grant this young man clarity and discernment. Bring your grace upon him to help him learn when and how you want him to take action when confronted with uncomfortable situations. Amen

Prayer for Faithfulness to My Religion

O Lord, I pray for the grace and the strength
to remain faithful to Your teachings and
to the sacramental life of the Church.
Help me to persevere in the commitments
and promises I have made to You. Give me
the fortitude to live up to the vocation
I received in my baptism, to the duties derived
from my confirmation in the Spirit, and to the
graces received in the other sacraments.

Help me to place love of God and service to Him
before all else and help me to bring selfless love
to my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Amen.
